United Employers Association was established in 1906 as the United Metal Trades Association of the Pacific Coast.  During its first 60 years, the Association represented employers in the metals and related industries in Oregon and Washington.  The Association assisted employers with a wide range of industry and labor relations issues.

Today, United Employers Association is a nonprofit organization that helps member companies with their people management needs and all aspects of human resources - including government compliance, employee relations, surveys, safety and training.

The Association's for profit affiliates UEA, Inc. and US Benefits perform a variety of functions on behalf of member companies including training, special projects and benefits administration.
